1962 Morris Minor 1000

In late 2020, we purchased a very original 1962 Morris Minor 1000 that was in need of some maintenance to bring it back to it's former glory.

Once we collected the car, we bought it back to our workshop and began the process of stripping it. Before sending it off for paint, we fabricated and welded some small repair panels to take care of the minor issues on the body work.

Whilst the car was being painted, we carried out a full refresh of the engine and gearbox, and sympathetically cleaned the original red and white interior. Once the car was returned back to us, we fitted the refreshed components and reassembled the rest of the car. We also had the wheels media blasted and powder coated in Old English White, along with the front grill. We carried out a full mechanical refresh at this point to ensure everything was working as it should, given the car had previously stood for a long time. This included work to the suspension, and new brake pipes throughout. The below photos show a before and after of the engine bay.

Once everything had been fully reassembled we gave the car a full valet, including polishing the chrome bumpers, and advertised it for sale. The below pictures show the car in it's final restored condition. We carried out this entire restoration sympathetically, to maintain the originality of the car (you can even still see the original dealer's sticker from when it was brand new!).
